Tea Traveler, BPA Free Travel Mug

Busy tea lovers are going to love this one – a traveling tea mug from Teas Etc. It’s a 3 piece BPA free travel mug that’s about as simple to use as you can get. Just unscrew the lid and strainer, put your tea leaves in, screw on the strainer, pour in the hot water, replace the lid and you’re done. The mug is double walled, so the tea stays hot without burning your hands.
The first use our tea traveler got was by Andrew – he tried it out just a few minutes after we received it. He didn’t follow directions for how to use it, and still the tea came out great! We tried the mug with some organic loose leaf teas.
The tea traveler can be used for other drinks, too. If you don’t need the strainer in place (it can also be helpful for holding in ice or lemon while you sip), you can just remove it, no hassle.
Now some do’s and don’ts –
- Rinse to remove tea leaves.
- Towel or drip dry.
- If soap is required, use one that is mild and unscented.
- Don’t use soap on the strainer.
- Rinse immediately after use to avoid discoloration.
- Not dishwasher or microwave safe.
So basically, hand wash with mild or no soap, make sure to rinse after each use, and you’re set to go. We give this one 4 thumbs up (2 people, 2 thumbs each, of course!).

Thank you for sharing! This is awesome. I love tea, and usually only drink it at home because of convenience and of course BPA in travel mugs.
Wow…this is all about tea huh…i love tea and really worth reading this article…
Thank you vry much…!!!
I’m always curious as to what can cause BPA contamination, and what is safe. A container, such as this, that is cleary identified as such makes it easy. Nice article, thanks!
thanks a lot all
I love tea and this looks great, I just wish it was dishwasher safe.
This is so nice!! I am always wanting to bring tea with me but the BPA was always an issue — thanks!
Cool! I will use it to carry my green tea bags if i travel overseas.
I just picked one of these up last week, its a very nice replacement for my old nalgene bottle.
Very utilitarian invention mutl thanks for the idea. Now we can travel quietly, do not die of thirst.
Maybe one of the best buy you can get.. thanks for sharing this classy mug :)
This is looks like a well designed product. Especially the lid, which is where most of them fail.
And that it is aimed at Tea and not simply the water drinking market is important as acidic beverages are very susceptible to this problem.
Really interesting article about tea. I could’ve used that when we took our trip last feb. Usually they have coffee but never tea in the motel rooms we stayed at. Great idea!
Is this spill proof? I want to have this. It looks good to me. :)
